Limestone and Vine #1

oil on board 24"x24"

available (aluminum prints also available)

This is the very first painting I did after moving to Lexington. I set up in the most prolific spot I could find as a way to announce I am here and because I like the view (it also helps that is was in shade). I see parts of it that are a bit awkward now but I think I am going to leave it as a document of a moment in time that can never be replicated. I guess all paintings are a collection of just that - moments in time, how we reacted with a brush full of oil and pigment .. and maybe a squeegee later at night.
